Used Car Roadshow - Wax Test

On Sunday 21st May 2006, DT Concours took part in a blind test at National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, Hampshire, Motormart Autojumble.

In a test on the car below, along with a selection of other leading wax and polish distributors, including Zymol and their £7000 Royale Wax, yes £7000 per tub, DT Concours came first.

Each company was given a section of the vehicles roof to clean and wax and then judging was provided by Penny Mallory and Jason Dawe, however they did not know which company had waxed each section of the roof.

The section of roof prepared by DT Concours was described as 'That one is the smoothest by far.' by Penny Mallory.

The Triumph GT6 is due to be rebuilt by Practical Classics and offered in a competition, so because of the condition of the paint it was seen as a good test bed for the leading car polishes and waxes. We were very happy with the results although I can't say the same for the Zymol chap.

In the photo below, we can see James from Practical Classics having a good look at the DT Concours finish, needless to say he was impressed.
